Goodbye London

Hello fellow music lovers. This weekend, I'll be doing my bit for overcrowded London and jetting off to Copenhagen with my Transounds homie to dig for some new music. I won't be posting for a few days so I'll leave you with a mini mix that I did as part of the new Transounds project. Feel free to check out the other mixes on the page too. Enjoy and I hope you all have a good weekend too!

P.S. I have just been told that the whole trip has been planned and I am to keep my mouth shut but if I see something I like "feel free to let me know".  Gee, thanks buddy I'll keep that in mind...

Cubic Zirconia at The Lexington, London

I saw Cubic Zirconia at the Lexington last Wednesday and their music sounded so good live. Sometimes house music or "ethnic disco" as the band themselves describe it can sound weak when played live but each song sounded perfect and the element of a live drummer added another level to the music. Tiombe's style matched with the lyrics makes her one of the most original women in one of the most original bands of recent times.

They have a new album out next month (can't wait!) but in the meantime here's 'Tune of the Day' 'Black and Blue'.

Check out their YouTube for more goodies! Enjoy!
